Circontrol, a leading manufacturer of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, announces that its DC Raption Series has been certified according to German Eichrecht Calibration Law, an essential step in installing EV chargers in Germany.
The latest Circontrol’s products certified according to German regulations are:
The Raption fast and ultra-fast charging stations now join the AC semi-fast charging station eVolve Smart, which received certification in 2024. The Raption Compact 80 offers a plus of power, flexibility and comfort in urban and interurban environments. Meanwhile, the Raption Compact 160 and 240 provide the necessary power for charging hubs, enabling simultaneous charging at up to 80 kW or 120 kW per connector.
The Eichrecht Calibration Law regulates the transparency of measurements by ensuring that EV users will only be billed for the energy in kW that their vehicle has received. The main feature added to comply with the German Eichrecht Calibration Law is a certified energy meter placed in a clearly visible position. In addition, the cloud payment terminal available on all Raption Series models facilitates secure and real-time transactions, and the 15-inch touchscreen displays tariff information to the user.
This update represents an improvement that extends beyond the German market, one of Europe’s largest markets, and it will likely be valued in other regions as well. With this significant advancement, Circontrol is committed to offering products tailored to diverse regulations and charging requirements. With these three latest additions, Circontrol now offers both AC and DC products in Germany.
