Since its beginnings, Circontrol has stood out for its clear commitment to sustainability, serving as a key player in the global energy transition through its products and solutions for electric mobility. Circontrol’s commitment to sustainability goes beyond its market offering: the company applies it in all areas of operation to help create a more sustainable industry and world. In this regard, the implementation of circularity processes stands out.
What does circularity mean for Circontrol? A principle that guides our operational and strategic decisions to keep resources in use for as long as possible, strengthening our commitment to waste and emissions minimisation.
Circontrol has begun implementing circularity practices in supplier logistics to reduce CO2 emissions. Specifically, a closed-loop system has been implemented in which the packaging of our electronic components is continuously reused, significantly reducing the need to manufacture new boxes.
Emissions and waste reduction
Currently, Circontrol’s main electronic components supplier, which accounts for 80% of components and is located in the same industrial area, uses 100% reusable boxes. The second supplier stands at 10%. This achieves a reduction of 1.075 kg of CO2 per year, as well as a 90-95% reduction in waste generation related to this aspect.
Process optimisation
Beyond the direct impact, this initiative also generates indirect benefits: palletisation optimisation, making better use of truck transport volume, and improved product quality and preservation, reducing incidents and defects.
