Circontrol presents its first master-slave solution with power management at EVS30

This new master-slave solution that works with AC and DC chargers includes power management and reduces operational and maintenance costs

Circontrol, EV charging stations manufacturer company with headquarters in Barcelona, presented its first master-slave solution in the last EVS30 exhibition celebrated last week in Stuttgart. This solution represents the most cost-effective multiple charging solution consisting in several slave points controlled by a single master unit. Moreover, it’s a flexible solution, allowing a DC Quick Charger (Raption Series) or an AC charging post (Post eVolve Range) to act as a master and a ground-mount (eVolve Post) or wall-mount (WallBox eVolve) AC charger to act as a slave.

Among this unique master-slave solution advantages there’s a lowest initial investment because it requires just one smart unit, which will act as a master, and several slave units which are simpler and therefore cheaper. It also lowers operational costs because it does not require a grid upgrade, due to its Dynamic Load Management (DLM) that secures a well-balanced charging logic. Also, with the master acting as a communications hub, the operator requires only a single 3G contract with a telecom operator. Finally, the fact that only one smart charging unit is needed reduces the maintenance costs. This DLM system allows a flexible configuration designed as a scalable solution ready for an eMobility market expected growth that will require the installation of more charging points.

This is one of main innovations presented by Circontrol during EVS30 and will be a key feature in a growing market such as eMobility. “As Circontrol Germany we are very glad to introduce this new feature at this event in Stuttgart. We believe that all our customers will benefit from this innovation reducing their investments and operational costs”, said Oliver Kaul the General Manager Circontrol’s German branch office.
