Since Circontrol launched the Cosmos cloud platform in 2019, more than 2000 users have benefited from this tool. It was created to offer a management solution for charging point owners without a back-office. Based on the OCPP1.6J protocol, the platform collects data from smart chargers from Circontrol and other brands, allowing detailed monitoring and the generation of comprehensive reports.
The key functionalities of Cosmos include managing charging networks. The platform allows the creation and management of customised charging networks, which is ideal for private installations in sectors such as Horeca, vehicle fleets, and condominiums. Secondly, Cosmos facilitates the monitoring and remote control of the chargers. Administrators can locate and verify the status of chargers in real time through an interactive map, ensuring high service availability and remote control of each charging point.
This tool also allows for user subscription and management, creating personalised profiles to optimise the charging experience. Additionally, it provides detailed usage reports and can automatically issue invoices and configure tariffs, keeping customers informed about usage and costs. Since 2024, Cosmos can be accessed through a user-friendly app available for iOS and Android, allowing EV drivers to control charging from their mobile phones. Users can start, stop, and control the charging of their vehicles from anywhere with the new app.
For maintenance and diagnostics, Cosmos offers detailed reports on charger availability, average time of failures, and other key performance indicators. It also integrates its own ErrorDecoder, a tool that accelerates error identification for quick and effective corrective action.
The platform contributes to advanced energy management through SmartCharging profiles. It allows configuring one or several charging schedules with different periods according to energy costs or needs, optimizing energy efficiency, and reducing costs.
