All-in-one solution, Key Importance in EV Charging Infrastructure

The landscape of EV charging infrastructure is rapidly evolving in Europe, especially with fast and ultra-fast charging stations. Anticipating the upcoming regulations of the European Union in 2025 requiring law a fast-charging station installed every 60 Km. In response to this new reality, at Circontrol we have recently presented our new Raption DC chargers range: new ultra-fast chargers Raption Compact 160 and Raption Compact 240 and we plan to present another dual charging DC station very soon.

All our Raption next generation offers an all-in-one solution, meaning that we integrate the power modules inside the charger. This kind of solution presents different benefits for EV charger owners.

Cost-effectiveness and easier installation

Integrated solutions offer faster and simpler installation compared to configurations employing an electrical cabinet for power modules. In addition, its installation proves cost-effective, as only one cabinet needs to be installed, translating to a single foundation requirement. Moreover, all-in-one solutions demand a reduced length of cable, resulting in significant cost savings.

Easy maintenance

From a maintenance perspective, the presence of only one cabinet facilitates easier and safer service. This configuration reduces the complexity of upkeep tasks, making it more straightforward to diagnose and address issues promptly.

Well-arranged space

In terms of spatial considerations, the advantage of a compact solution is evident All-in-one solutions provide an operation opportunity to optimize EV charging spaces efficiently. This is particularly crucial in scenarios such as public charging stations, where available street space is limited, and allocating space for both the charger and a separate cabinet with power modules can be challenging. Compact ultra-fast chargers present a solution to issues related to constrained space and ensure that EV charging infrastructure can be seamlessly integrated with the environment.
