With an area of 30,000 m², Plaça de Catlunya (Catalonia Square) is one of the largest squares in Spain and one of the most important places in Barcelona. The square is the point of union between the old town and some of the city main streets such as Las Ramblas, Paseo de Gracia, Rambla de Catalunya.
It’s especially known for its fountains and statues, its proximity to some of Barcelona’s most popular landmarks, and for the flocks of pigeons that gather in the centre.
